Haute Couture

Almost forgot to post about my favorite pieces from the Spring Couture. You can see Dior below but here are other samples.
Here is Armani. Love the deep colors and the glossy elements.
Chanel. Lagerfeld will always be a genius representing Chanel. I enjoyed the modernity of adding fun bottoms with a more traditional top.
Elie Saab. I have always loved his work. The beauty of the dresses, reflecting femininity, class and a bit of intrigue.
Valentino. Simplicity and romance with the silhouettes, colors and fabrics.

And last but not least. A designer I have admired since I was about 13. Jean-Paul Gaultier. I love the the A-line coat (1st image). Such a breath of fresh air to see someone so creative. The pieces are very elegant with a bit of an edge. Great show yet again.
And as a bonus... A video from JPG Spring Couture backstage. Check it out:

SAG Awards

As you may know the SAG awards just occurred so it is time to show off the best dressed on the red carpet.
(Left to right top: Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen, Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton, January Jones in Carolina Herrera. Left to right bottom: Sofia Vergara in Cavalli, Helena Carter in Marc Jacobs and Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta.)
I think Mila Kunis won it all, that dress was stunning. And Tina Fey looked very good as well.
Note:Prints and patterns, red and necklines.
Sorry to others such as Natalie Portman or Christina Hendricks, not the best red carpet.

Hello to all! I wanted to share the new cover of the 2011 Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair this year. Very classy representing SOME of the best actors/actresses of the past year.

French Vogue - New editor!

Emmanuelle Alt will be succeeding Carine Roitfeld as the new editor of French Vogue.
Some designers still have doubts about whether having a great style will suffice to produce a great magazine.

Chanel Pre-Fall 2010/2011 - Interview with Karl Lagerfeld

Chanel's pre-fall collection is based on the reminiscence of Byzantine history.
The collection is simply beautiful.

In this interview, Mr. Lagerfeld explains the Byzantine elements of the collection. He also touches an important point about why Chanel has 6 collections per year.
Everything to love about him and Chanel.

Here is a sample of the collection:
